I have finally got around to editing a quick video from our trip to Lossiemouth in Scotland back in May 2009. It’s a real pity that I didn’t have an HD camcorder at that time. It’s a great place to visit for plane geeks as you get so close to the action. Tornados all day long is brilliant!
I have recently been sorting out a lot of my video editing stuff and getting clips uploaded to youtube. One of the first clips I recorded on the Canon HV40 was at the NI Airshow. It was a real pity that the weather was absolutely atrocious but I still managed to salvage some clips from the day.

I have finally took the plunge and booked a session in the full size simulators at British Airways at London Heathrow. These are the real deal – the full motion simulators that the British Airways pilots use. Have fancied it for a while now and so should be heading off within the next few months all being well to see how good I am in the 737-400! If all goes to plan I hope to add a blog entry on how it goes. Watch this space for updates!
What a week we had up in the North of Scotland – 4 days, 3 airports and lots of fighter jets! Tornados, Rafales, Mirages, Nimrods, Apaches and various other types meant it was a great week. The weather kept up pretty well too and even got a bit of sunburn! Hopefully I will get some photos uploaded to the gallery from the week. I definitely would head back sometime again as the amount of traffic you see is huge.
